Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
::The Character::
Real Name: Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
Nickname/Alias: Sir Hellsing
Age: 23
Race: Humans
Main Allies: Hellsing members, and Alucard
Main Enemies: Millennium, and Incognito
Personality: As a woman surrounded by men, working in what is basically a "man's world", Integra has had to become tough and capable. As near as I can tell, her mother died when she was very young (a flash back shows what could have been her mother's suicide or murder), and so she was brought up by her father. She was around 12 or 13 when she took over the family (based on her comments to Arucard in Episode 10), and never really had a normal childhood. I also feel that she's never had any sort of romantic relationship, and is almost certainly still a virgin (both the Boobhanshee and Incognito mention how sweet-tasting her blood is).
Her origins and upbringing have served to make Integra strong and cold. She has little to no sense of humor, except for a dark, almost mocking tone. But then, she can't afford one. The Hellsing Organization is her life and her sole purpose, and I can imagine her feeling lost and out of place in more "normal" society.
Ever since seeing her father die (and having to deal with her uncle Richard), Integra has resolved to never give in to anyone. She has an almost unshakable will, and although the Boobhanshee was able to control her mind, it didn't last. This strength of character and determination impresses even Arucard, who calls it her "pride and dignity." As he puts it, "Giving up kills people. When people resist giving up they finally win the right to transcend humanity." Integra, in his opinion, will never give up, which is one reason he respects her so (even if normally he doesn't show it).
Brief history: She must be born about 1976-1977. Born into the prestigious and mysterious Hellsing family, Integra has been sheltered and educated all her life to take the place of her father, Sir Arthur Hellsing, as Bureau Director of the Hellsing Organization. Integra's mother does not appear in her flashbacks, suggesting either that Integra never met the woman or that she died when Integra was very young. When she was 12 years old, Integra's father died and entrusted her with their family's mission to lead the Royal Protestant Knights and protect England, and asked his brother, Richard, to aid her.
Almost immediately after Arthur’s death, Richard Hellsing, jealous of Integra for inheriting the family headship, attempted to hunt her down and kill her. Integra escaped her traitorous uncle and managed to reach a dungeon in the mansion's sub levels, where her father had said she would find her salvation. Hoping to find a knight in shining armor, she stumbled across an old, dried-out corpse, instead. Richard found her, cornered her, and shot her in her shoulder, spilling her blood across the floor of the room. The corpse, actually a vampire whom Arthur had imprisoned 20 years earlier, awoke and licked up Integra's blood. Rejuvenated, it proceeded to kill her persecutors, thus saving her. Richard, desperate, attempted to kill Integra one last time, but the vampire blocked his bullet. Picking up a gun, Integra shot and killed her uncle, becoming the last descendant of the Hellsing bloodline. The vampire, whose name was Alucard, became her loyal servant.
Not long after, Integra was knighted and introduced to Vice Admiral Sir Shelby Penwood, a former friend of her father. Upon seeing Integra for the first time, Sir Penwood said that she was far too young to fulfill her duty. He revised his opinion during the actual storyline, in which he admitted that it was an honor to have met and served with her in his farewell message, prior to his death. His eventual sacrifice to destroy countless Millennium footsoldiers during the London invasion was just one of the many examples that helped solidify Integra's resolution about humanity's worth and continue her duty.
Young Integra was portrayed as a timid but willful girl seemingly intimidated by the supernatural who was forced to grow up abuptly when her treacherous uncle tried to kill her. When Alucard became her servant, she grew more confident and comfortable with her position as head of the Hellsing family and a Knight of the Round Table. Much like Seras Victoria, Integra experiences a coming of age, gaining experience and losing her remaining innocence as events unfold and the war begins, transforming into a leader with an iron resolution who does not flinch at the first signs of danger and who gains wisdom through dire losses and betrayals. The Major recognizes her change from a "beautiful Fräulein" (he goes so far as to apologize for calling her this) to the most dangerous enemy who stands in the way of his plans, calling her forth into his Zeppelin.

Sample RP: In Cheddar Integral Hellsing arrived where the cops are. She was looking ahead when the cop was talking to her. "I have news. Who's in command here?" Integral asked. She was wanting to make sure that she spoken to who was in command. She kept on walking to the tent. "Your worries are at an end. From here on... This is a job for us." Integral said. She was trying to figure out the best way to handle these Freaks. She was paying attention to when the other cops were talking, and even the command in charge. Then she decided to answer once again. It's what happens to vampire attack victims who are not virgins. You could say they're zombies under the control of said vampire. We anticipate that a vampire inhabits that village." Integral explained.
Then the guy said what he needed to say. "Correct." Integral said. Someone didn't agreed with what she had said, and it was making her become upset she held back her anger for the humans. "It's the truth. But it really doesn't matter if you don't believe. Your work here is finished anyway. A low-level official like you probably wouldn't have known, not that you needed to. We, the Order of Royal Protestant Knights, also known as the Hellsing Agency have fought against these monsters since ancients days. We are are the secret service set up to consign to oblivion these antichrist freaks who would try to violate the British Empire, and the Protestant Church. There's a vampire in that village manipulating the ghouls you're up against a monstrosity. No matter how many normal troops or police you send in there all you're doing is offering them a meal. Vampires can only breed more vampires by drinking the blood of a virgin of the opposite sex. Others are simply food and end up becoming ghouls nothing more than the vampire's servants." Integral said. While she was talking she begin to smoke her cigarette. If you kill the head vampire, you kill them all. And Hellsing will do the honors. Game over. One of our men is a special anti-vampire expert. He's already on his way to Cheddar. It should be over in a few hours." Integral said. The official asked her a question. "His name is Alucard. When it comes to monsters yes, especially vampires no more is more expert than him." Integral said. When Integral saw Alucard coming back she wondered how it went. "Well done Alucard. How did it go?" Integral said.
