THE CAPTAIN
::The Character::
Real Name: The Captain's real name is known only to him. However, a few documents exist in regards to him with the name Hans Günsche, so it is possible that his real name is as such.
Nickname/Alias: The Captain
Age: Again, no clear documentation exists, but it is assumed he is somewhere around 150 years old
Race: Werewolf. As far as anyone is aware he's the last werewolf of the so-called 'natural' variety, himself included.
Main Allies: Millenium
Main Enemies: Whoever Millenium tells him to hate.
Personality: 'Personality' isn't exactly the word that one would think up when asked to describe The Captain. In fact, its the seemingly utter LACK of a personality that people seem to point out instantly. And how can they be wrong? After all, to follow him around one day would be to show that The Captain typically trots after the Major (or, on a rare occasion, Herr Doktor) like the dutiful bodyguard he is, rarely leaving his post unless instructed to do so otherwise. Even then, its atypical for him to be absent from a close vicinity of the Major, looming about and appearing ever-so-threatening.
While on his vigilant duty (like the good little (possibly brainwashed) watchdog like he is), it takes a lot to make the Captain react to stimuli. Flash a bright light in his eyes? He may blink. Hit him? Probably won't do a damn thing. Tug on his sleeve? Nope, you'd have a better chance in getting a response from a rock. He only reacts when he is specifically told to by either Herr Doktor or the Major himself, or if either of the Millenium leaders come under any direct threat. He's always quick to react to that, and often brutally so.
Perhaps if one got him to speak they could discern a bit more about him. Alas, the not-so-good Captain seems to be a mute, though it is unknown if he is one out of choice or a defect brought about by birth or injury. Regardless of the cause, the result is the same, and the habit only makes him seem more like a mindless watchdog doing as he's told.
And yet... The Captain does seem to display a bit of a personality when operating away from the gaze of Millenium, making one wonder if he's really as bad as the rest of the lot. The acts are subtle, almost unnoticeable, and yet completely out of character of the mindless killing machine people seem to enjoy painting him as. Leaving a first aid kit for injured enemies. looking away just long enough for someone to escape. Subtly warn someone away from danger. Things such as that. Its almost impossible to catch the Captain in the act, as he's always exceedingly careful in his small acts of kindness. Its not much, but it gives one a moment to pause and wonder.
Brief history: Considering the Captain's silent nature and the destruction of nearly all the official documents pertaining to him during the waning years of World War II, virtually nothing is known of the man. Even his true name is a matter under heavy speculation. Regardless, he found himself under the Major's wing by the end of the second World War, serving as his personal bodyguard and responding to the simple title of Captain. It seems that however,h e joined, he managed to get through enough official channels that he was able to formally serve in the German military.
For almost the entirety of the war he served under the Major directly as a bodyguard and driver, though he has made an appearance in several notable battles during the war. A rare photograph shows him present in Malmedy in December of 1944, and a few scarce verbal recounts indicate that he was present at other points during the course of the war. However, it is almost impossible to officially verify such claims. Regardless, he found himself back in his usual role of looming menacingly over the Major's right shoulder, a place from which he never strays for long.
::The Gear::
Weapon(s): Two custom Mauser C96s. Combat knife.
Gadgets/Tools: ---
Accessories: Dog tag- The Captain, like any proper soldier, has a dog tag around his neck with his identification number and coded information. However, the logs containing the matching information are most likely destroyed, rendering the device rather useless. Still, he doesn't seem to mind having it.
::The Abilities::
Power(s): Transformation- being a werewolf, the Captain is capable of shifting into a wolfish form and back at will. He can transform as completely or as incompletely as he would like, though his control of his seemingly preferred human form is hampered when he loses or is close to losing his temper.
Regeneration- The Captain possesses some level of regeneration, though the complete extent of it is unknown.
Enhanced- Enhanced reflexes. Enhanced strength. Enhanced senses. Enhanced endurance. It may be a side effect of him being what he is, but the Captain's physical abilities are quite beyond what a normal human possesses.
Skills: Does killing things count? No? Well, pity then. That's about all that the Captain is good for, unless standing around and looking intimidating counts. He's quite good at that. Chances are he'd be killer at poker too... And starting contests.
Strengths: In addition to the supernatural powers listed above, the Captain is one tough little cookie. He's strong, he's fast, he's impervious to a fair few weapons (or can regenerate so quickly that there's little difference). He's also excellent in following orders. Tell him what to do, and he'll follow it to the letter without even batting an eye or questioning what he's been ordered.
Weakness: Like the werewolves of legend, the Captain has quite the weakness to silver. Its rumored that he has an aversion to wolfsbane as well, though that fact is still nothing but a rumor. Surprising as it may seem, the Captain can also have quite the violent temper. There are only a few things that really get him riled up, but that can does result in him violently lashing out in response. Most notable is his utter hatred of being referred to as a dog and teased along those lines.
::The Impression::
He stood as he always did- rigid, stoic- the image of a perfect soldier, forever standing at attention. The Captain was standing in his usual place, hovering behind the Major's right shoulder as if he were indeed part of the Major's shadow himself. He never spoke, he never made a noise- for he had no reason to speak. Indeed, he felt no urge to make any sound, or unneccessary movement, or anything.
Over the years, the captain had managed to perfect his ability to negate wasteful motions so far as to that even his red-brown eyes stared straight ahead, moving only when required. Yet he saw everything that went on around him, heard everything. His eyes, focused yet unfocused, their seeming intensity hinting wickedly of a monster behind this calm facade of a soldier, observed all, recorded all, remembered all. This demon of evil preformed his duty well.
A demon, you say? Yes. Of course. They all were demons, one way or another. Millenium had no room for anything else.
Slinking after his commander, the Captain merely stared ahead of him, his face set in its usual grim mask of stoic expressionless...ness. Upon the zeppelin, he stood at his rigid attention, listening as the Major barked orders at the scuttling crew. He said nothing, however, for really, did it matter? He never spoke, even when directly addressed to or if given permission to speak. Speech was not his strength, nor was it what he was meant for. If herr Major wished for him to speak, he would communicate his few thoughts with a simple shrug. A well-placed stare. A twist of his features. He would be understood reasonably enough. It was of no consequence, though. What was done was done, and the Major's pieces were all falling into place like some twisted dark jigsaw puzzle. What he said had no impact on it.
